Dear Member (and a special welcome to our new Members).....

Our activities started off on the June Bank Holiday weekend with a Charity Ride & Drive held at Mr Denis Bracken's farm Clonshanny, Clara, Co Offaly. This was a very successful event which raised approx €14.000, which was then divided among different charities.

Shows ; Our next outing was Kilmacanogue show in Co Wicklow, at which we had a fine selection of stock on display. Champion on the day was owned by Mr Derek & Heather Bailey.

Tullamore; Show Approx 30 animals entered but the Show was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

Virginia; The sun shone all day, and we had a big turnout; local man Mr Jim Gibney was champion on the day. The Scottish Shield was won by Mr Derek Bailey.

Mountbellew; Was to be our next outing, but due to our typical Irish weather it also was cancelled.

Pet Expo 2008; Clydesdale Horse Society of Ireland next Public appearance is in Dublin RDS on the 17th ,18th, 19th October.

Stallion ;
Great News for Clydesdale Horse Breeders in Ireland . We are proud to announce Cawdor Cup Winner Dillar’s Leader will be Standing at Stud in Ireland this coming season.

Registration ; It’s this time of year again.
Anyone with young stock for Registering, you can get your Marking Charts and other required documentation from Sec Marguerite in Scotland .

Up Coming Events;
Our AGM and our Christmas Party will be held on the 6th December in the Bridge House Hotel. The AGM starts at 3.00pm followed by our Christmas Party at 7.30pm.
